Hi. I'm Srinjoy Santra (IPA: /srindʒɔe̯ ʃãatra/). Currently, a Backend Developer at BookMyShow. My interests include coding, music and blogging.
I got introduced to coding during my secondary school days. In the beginning, it was a bit daunting to understand logic and structure of a program. I gained confidence making simple console applications based on the games of Minesweeper and Uno in Java. Since then I've dabbled with various technologies and tools throughout my undergraduate years. Over the years, I've acquired real-life experiences through diverse work commitments and personal projects. Currently, I work in the Payments Platform team at BookMyShow.
I'm trained in Indian classical music and play Esraj. But, I don’t try to limit myself to one specific genre or region. You'll find me heavily rotating between Rock, Bollywood, Country, Folk and Indie. I was so moved by the demise of Chester Bennington, I covered One More Light.
I started blogging with Wordpress (mostly for personal stuff). I put articles focused more on technology, specifically web development and software engineering on Medium. Finally, I've decided to have my own little nook on web through this site.
